BoddaH1994
Same weekend is HNW. I wonder how that’ll affect things.
disco2000
I think there is enough demand and with the HW event already being sold out, it will potentially give those that have been shut out of Coasterstock in the past a chance to get in. But I am sure some that travel to the area will sign up for both.
SmartCat7162
I understand the date though since the original day was already taken.
Oldiesmann
Glad to see it returning, though it won't be quite the same without Don. Hopefully I'll still be able to snag a ticket though.
Orion-XL200
Won't be attending for the first time since Coasterstock has been offered. Will be at HWN.

I am doing HWN too. When you are not sure if an event will take place, you make other plans. Orion-XL200
HWN is superior imo. I wonder how well it'll go without the leadership of the past.

Same weekend as HWN and the same weekend of Epic's Opening (which I'll be in attendance). Ironically enough I was considering going to Coasterstock if it came back this year, unfortunately it's on the one weekend, a full week and some, that i cannot come out. Good on KI for bringing the event back, hopeful that it sticks around for a 2026 run!

I attended the event last year and had such a good time that I decided to make it an annual tradition. 19 hours ago, Oldiesmann said: Glad to see it returning, though it won't be quite the same without Don. A good number of the people who attended Coasterstock on an annual basis will be at HoliWood Nights, so the competition for tickets won't be as hard. 17 hours ago, Orion-XL200 said: HWN is superior imo. I wonder how well it'll go without the leadership of the past. The blueprint for Coasterstock was left behind on a silver platter for the Kings Island team. They'd have to be pretty incompetent to mess it up. It will be like when Barry Switzer took over coaching the Cowboys from Jimmy Johnson after they won two Super Bowls. All he had to do was not mess it up, and he didn't the first couple years. They won another Super Bowl with the team Jimmy Johnson had assembled.
johnjniehaus Posted yesterday at 03:01 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:01 AM I might try and go to coasterstock however after the ACE Spring Conference, I'm not sure if there's much at the park I haven't seen in terms of BTS tours they offer Now if it's trimless night rides on The Beast? Count me in!!

With a number of people who annually attended Coasterstock going to HoliWood Nights, it does open the door for a lot of new attendees. However, the thing that made Coasterstock what it was, made it special, was the camaraderie. It was like a big family reunion every year. That key element will be missing. That may be true, but isn't it also true that it opens up a new group of people for camaraderie? I've always seen KI as a "local" park as I think they get more locals than CP. Most of this is due to the Gold Pass and not having hotels or a sports complex. In either case I think having CS at the same time of HWN will make the event have more "Kings Island" fans than "Coaster" fans. The older I get the more I'm a "Theme Park Enthusiast" as opposed to a "Roller Coaster Enthusiast". I think this happens to most people when they get older, I've seen at least 1 you tuber who has made the transition and as the "Theme Park" generation get's older I see this trend continuting. Those of us who are grandparents now have the advantage over our grandparents since we have a memory of what KI was "back in the day". Either way, the event always sold out so quickly in the past, hopefully I'll be able to go and take my grandson. The local population going to KI also would bode well for a winter event. RollerColt Posted yesterday at 02:29 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:29 PM I'm a bit biased being a Hoosier, but man does Holiday World rock the socks off of events like this. I'm very thankful my state has a park like this. I'm thankful for KI being so close as well of course!

It takes time to build camaraderie. The same people that are new this year will need to return next year and the year after for the event to have the same level. Winterfestguy
With Coasterstock being scheduled after Memorial Day and Soak City therefore being open, wonder if we might see ERT on some rides (and snacks) in Soak City similar to what HWN does? It would be a nice add to the Coasterstock lineup if Soak City was incorporated into the event. EST (Exclusive Slide Time) on the new RiverRacers, Tropical Plunge and Mondo Monsoon are the only attractions that would need to be open.
