Another permit was filed on Thursday last week for a Kiddie Pool Pergola. Job value at $68,445.00

I would've thought the permit for that would be filed with all of the other permits for the area. It's something that can be easily assembled, but the permitting seems like a step that should've taken place sooner than now.

On the note of purchasing meal plans, it's cheapest to buy online. I wish there weren't extra fees for doing so in person, but that just seems to be how it is. Don't get me started on cashless systems either — they're easier for businesses that use them but that's about it.

Dumb question: I've always purchased a meal plan online, but I was curious if you could buy it in the park. Obviously, you can get it from Guest Services, but Is there anywhere else inside the park? Can you buy it in places like Coney BBQ?

All season dining plans can only be purchased at ticket windows or guest services. You can purchase all day dining products at food stand locations that participate in the dining plan.

I will be there on Passholder Preview Day! Looking forward to getting back to the place I love! Here's some things I plan on doing on Friday:

  • Diamondback-why not?
  • Mystic Timbers
  • Banshee
  • Beast-going to check out the new retrack and see if it moves up my rankings like Racer did last year.
  • Coney BBQ-going to check out any new items they might have brought back. Last year they added the Burnt Ends, which were alright. If only they had Corn Soufflé all year round, but then it wouldn't be as special during Winter fest.
  • Gift Shop-to see any new changes/refurbishments
  • Diamondback Bathrooms-to see if they were improved. Is it weird that I'm interested to see changes made to a bathroom?:P

Can't wait for Friday!!!

The restroom renovations will be very welcome, whether there were really any "upgrades" or not. I'll personally be using them just because that is probably the newest and cleanest they'll be. I watched some finishing paint going on the KI Trading Company yesterday, and now that the trucks have moved I can officially say the little part I can see from the webcams looks really good. I'm glad to see that the tree between the Trading Co. and Build-A-Bear appears to have survived the renovation as well!

There looks to be a little desk table or something next to a planter sign (across from the Trading Co.), would anyone like to guess what that is? It could just be a little work table for the crews out there today, but the sign next to it makes me think it has another purpose.

I wonder how the crowds will be at noon since it'll be Good Friday. I think I'll have fun either way!

edit: It was plywood on top of two trash cans (probably to make it a work surface)!

So do we have a headcount for passholder preview night?

My first preview night, it will be packed right? Like everything hour waits packed? How early can we get to the park?

With the nice weather tomorrow and expected rain on Saturday, I would assume tomorrow could reach Haunt level crowds. I would say get there at least 2 or so hours early and even then there may be a backup to get in.

One thing I've learned about KI ever since getting a pass is that most people that visit KI have a season pass. It's cheaper than some other places and takes only two or so visits to make your money back
