CoasterJack
Keep getting these old Vortex ads on youtube with links to buy a season pass. Makes me laugh considering the ride no longer operates, but hey I don't mind seeing some old footage of the ride.
Diamondback_Is_King
Great News! Diamondback is back up to three trains! Operations are great, the train is leaving the station before the 3rd train gets back in the break run (although the park just opened for passholders )

I wasn't there last Saturday, but the previous Saturday and Passholder Preview Day I was there. The crowds were super busy those first two weeks, and only got a ride on Beast and Diamondback both times before I had to leave. Last two weeks were Music in the Parks I think, so this is where crowds die down slightly before the summer crowds start rolling in.

I was there last Saturday and the park was really quiet due to the rain, though most of the rides were still open (even WindSeeker) and the most I had to wait was like 15 minutes for The Beast.

calakapepe
So I guess queen city coaster truly might not have fire return. Just watched the webcams and no fire. Â Im planning to go this weekend. Time will tell. Â Thanks for the shade structure photo!
silver2005
Digging the spruced up FoF queue. Also, it's about time they added seating beneath the Eiffel Tower with it being a popular location for groups to meet up.

silver2005
Decided to go up to the park after work,  Spent from 4 to close there and got a surprising amount done in that time. There were really light crowds from what I expected, managed to ride all the major coasters and included Delirium, Drop Tower, WindSeeker and Viking as well.  I got my first 1-1 night ride with the new track on Beast, and I have to say, those newly reprofiled bits have really good floater air in 1-1. I was nearly up against the lap bar on the 2nd drop.  I can't wait to see how it rides once its more worn in. Also really want to try to ride in the back in the future with that section.

This may be the only appropriate use of it in the park I can think of, but it still feels off. I can't control what other people do; however I can be upset about it. Maybe a better way of putting it would be that it feels a little disingenuous. No special merch, no other decorations, barely any social media posts about it, just an AI birthday cake on a cardboard sign that some will need their glasses to read. Something tells me this was not made or commissioned by Kings Island's sign shop...
CedarPointer
That is 100% AI slop. I would have rather they just not bothered with the sign if they were going to do that.
Diamondback_Is_King
So I know last year they added the screen in front of the ride on the big roller coasters (Mystic, Orion, D-Back, Banshee. These signs aren't even on 25% of the time, so why get them in the first place?) and these screens kiosks around the park. At first, I thought they would put wait times on the screens, but then I saw all that really plays is advertisements and seasonal event stuff (like Haunt). Do we know what these were supposed to be? In my opinion, I would love to see the wait times displayed on these, although the times are never really accurate anyway. Sure, you can always look on your phone, but I really like enjoying the park without having to constantly be on my phone for when the wait times drop. Universal is getting a lot of heat right now because guests are constantly having to be on their phones if they want to ride Battle at the Ministry. Hopefully they figure out this Virtual Line thing or just get rid of it all together. Enough of Universal, back to KIÂ I don't really know the purpose of these signs, but they seem like they could be used in lots of better ways. You could even put out the weather forecast like they do on the TV's in the queue lines for rides (which they might already do that, I can't remember) or even inform the guests on what events/shows are going on later in the evening
Losantiville Mining Co.
Do you mean the double-sided standing signs? I believe those are meant to replace/supplement the old interactive map kiosks. I've only ever seen them while they're on (except after they were first installed). It would be awesome if they showed wait times and weather info. Some of the other Legacy Cedar Fair parks have been installing these as well. I hate being on my phone in the parks, but unfortunately it seems Six Flags would rather save the (relatively minimal) amount of money that printing maps and physical pass cards would cost. Six Flags, please stop forcing guests to use their phones! Now it seems the only way to get a physical pass card is to go to Guest Services and plead your case. If you're talking about the small Wait Times signs or Fast Lane kiosks, I've got no clue. Those were good additions though.
silver2005
So I have a pet peeve with how KI treats its south lot. They make it a chore to get over there from the current parking entrance for some reason with the way they direct incoming traffic, and then they are taking their merry time fixing whatever it is that's wrong with the parking spots closest to the marquee sign on the south side, too.  Also, they really need to redraw the lines in spots. The left half of the parking tolls direct to north lot and the right half to the south lot. If you want the south lot, go to the right side of the tolls and easy peasy as it is a direct path to the south lot... this allows traffic to be spread among both lots without a lot of overlap issues as the cones prevent people from trying to cross, except when guests take cones out trying to get to the other lot lol... There is nothing wrong with the spots by the sign - they are blocked off to be used for overflow of all the parents picking kids up at close....kinda ironic with the chaperone policy lol... Yeah some lines need repainted, but people don't pay attention anyway and why bollards were added to handicap lot despite all the spots being well painted...

Those were good additions though. Yes, the double sided signs. I too wish parks made it easier to enjoy the park without being on your phone constantly  Today was a better day than my previous two visits, and I got in a couple rides: Drop Tower, Banshee, Orion, and The Beast. The Beast Fast Lane line today was crazy, and was almost backed up all the way to the photo station. Also, Music in the Parks contributed to the crowds today, so the crowd level was understandable. Guess what was down today again? Yes, Stunt Coaster was once again down. What is it with this ride? Ever since the ride opened and got re-themed, it has been down constantly. Did they alter the ride in any way? I know the fire affect seems to be gone for good, but they didn't change anything else did they? Seems odd to me. Anyway, it ended up re-opening around 3:30 ish, but I didn't get around to riding it. I saw the new covered seating area today, and it looks really good! Obviously not complete yet, but I think guests will really benefit from this area. I also saw these new cups that KI seems to be using. They still use the older ones with the Legacy Cedar Fair parks on it, but this new cup seems to be the new Six Flags cup. Looks alright I guess, looks pretty standard. Doesn't have a SIX logo on it though, so I'm curious if there will be a new one, or if this is it.  Also, what is up with the red train on Diamondback? They were running three train operations just fine yesterday, but today they had red train in the storage shed, and then added it back on a little while later. This is the same train that was off the track the first few weeks of operation, correct? Overall, today was better than my previous days, and I enjoyed the nice weather!

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but the brown train normally gives one of the more "rattly" rides of the three IMO. I can remember this as far back as when Diamondback was brand new. I rode it religiously it's opening year and the preceding years and my memory always goes to the brown train giving a more shaky ride experience. Last year I think was the first time I can recall it not being as bad as it normally is. Again, just my opinion. Others may feel differently than myself.
